This lantern-like polyethylene lamp was previously known as the TW001 table luminaire. Now Innolux is also introducing two sizes of pendant luminaire models to its range, both faithful to Wirkkala’s original designs. The first prototypes were made using a plastic bottle moulding machine at the Karhula glassworks in Kotka, southeastern Finland. Nowadays the Centro pendant luminaire is made using rotational casting technology, but is still manufactured in Finland. The black textile cord of the streamlined pendant lamp creates a striking vertical contrast to the white shade.
