Tapio Anttila is an interior architect and designer. He is known for his simple, even ascetic design style, complemented with a touch of humor. Tapio Anttila has won several international design awards and was named Furniture Designer of the Year in Finland in 2012. He works broadly in product design, concept design, and spatial design.

Anttila’s design is guided not only by a minimalist visual language but also by a pursuit of ecological sustainability. “My mission is to create high-quality, practical, affordable, and well-designed objects for ordinary people,” the designer explains. “I draw inspiration largely from consumers’ and market needs: I listen and observe my environment. I do a lot of sketching, and the visual side of the products comes naturally through that.”

The soft shapes of the Triple series designed by Tapio Anttila bring to mind a fluffy cloud. At the same time, the lamp shade feels both heavy and light, creating an even and efficient light in the room with its three light sources. This atmosphere has been the central design goal.
