1. The lighting should highlight the good features of the room.
2. Place several different light sources in each room.
3. Select only one color temperature for the space.
4. Pay attention to the colors of the interior.
5. Good light does not strain the eye. Pay attention to luminaires that distribute light evenly.
When shopping for lighting, it’s a good idea to pay attention to what kind of space the luminaires are for and for what purpose. If you want to illuminate the entire room evenly, you may want to choose a luminaire for the ceiling that provides broad overall lighting, such as a ceiling light.
A pendant lamp is a good choice for overall lighting in a living room or bedroom, for example. In addition to good overall lighting and a ceiling light in the living room, it’s worth investing in, for example, a table or floor lamp, which complements other interior design and brings the whole space to life.
The kitchen must have efficient lighting so that the cooking and baking is easy and effortless. In the dining room and at the dining table, however, the overall lighting doesn’t have to be as bright as in the kitchen.
When purchasing a pendant lamp, it’s worth considering the installation height of the luminaire in addition to the dome model. The installation height has a decisive effect on how much space the lamp will illuminate effectively. When placed higher, the pendant light illuminates a wider area than when installed low, allowing the light to emit a more focused spotlight.
Some Innolux luminaires have a dimmer switch. A dimmable LED lamp is available for E27 base lamps. It’s a good idea to check compatibility with the dimmer from the lamp or dimmer manufacturer. LED lamps from well-known brands are usually dimmable with standard wall dimmers (dimmer cutting the rising or falling part).
If there is no dimmer in your apartment, contact an electrician. Please note that we do not give advice on the modification of electrical equipment or other electrical work that the consumer is not allowed to carry out themselves without an electrician.
Innolux luminaires are made of different materials, but each luminaire withstands standard handling. So you can safely clean the lamps without having to worry. The majority of the outer surfaces of Innolux luminaires is best cleaned with damp cloths and mild detergents. Mild detergent in this context refers to detergents with a pH of 6-9. When cleaning the surface of the luminaire, be careful not to use abrasive detergents or abrasive cleaning cloths to avoid scratching the surface.
Acrylic : On the acrylic surface, you can make use of all-purpose household detergents you already own with a pH between 6 and 9. Note that acrylic is a material that is easily scratched, so choose a non-abrasive detergent. The easiest way to clean an acrylic Innolux luminaire, such as the Kuplat luminaire, is with a mild dishwashing detergent solution or completely without detergent. Use a damp cleaning cloth, such as a microfiber cloth, to wipe. The easiest way to remove dust from the luminaire is with a duster.
Glass: Clean the glass lamps in the same way as the acrylic ones. For example, you can use a mild detergent solution to clean glass lamps. The easiest way to remove dust is by wiping the luminaire with a duster.
Genuine brass: Innolux brass luminaires are coated so that they can be cleaned with a damp cleaning cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive detergents. Abrasives damage the surface of the luminaire. The luminaire should not be polished or scrubbed too much as it will remove the coating. As a result of the coating wearing out, the surface of the luminaire may darken or discolor.
Other metals : Innolux luminaires made of metals are coated and because of this, they withstand handling. You can wipe a lamp made of such a material with a damp cleaning cloth dipped in a mild detergent mixture with a minimum pH of 6 and a maximum of 9. However, excessive polishing or abrasion may remove the coating, and the surface may darken or discolor as a result. When choosing a detergent, make sure that it is not abrasive and that the cleaning cloth is not too rough.
Genuine leather: The genuine leather used in Innolux luminaires ages beautifully and gets a wonderful patina coat over time. The leather parts used in Innolux luminaires are vegetable tanned. Only touch the leather strap or other parts of the lamp with clean hands. Only suitable leather care products should be used to handle, care for and clean the leather to keep it in good condition. Note that leather care products may also darken the surface of the leather.

Back in the early 2000s, incandescent bulbs were the most widely used light bulbs. At present , the manufacture and import of halogen and incandescent light bulbs is banned in the EU, but stores are allowed to sell out of stock. After the ban, energy-efficient LED light bulbs will be the main item available on the market, as most stores don’t carry halogen and energy-saving light bulbs anymore. LEDs have largely replaced other bulbs due to their superior quality and technical properties, but the manufacture of energy-saving bulbs is still allowed.
Incandescent bulbs produce light from an electric current through an incandescent wire. The story of the incandescent bulb dates back to the 19th century, when it was developed into a commercial product. The manufacture and sale of incandescent bulbs is currently banned in the EU.
A halogen light bulb works on the same principle as an incandescent bulb, but it’s kind of an improved version of its predecessor. The life of a halogen light bulb is considerably longer than that of an incandescent bulb, and the energy consumption of a halogen light bulb is lower than that of an incandescent bulb. Compared to new lighting technologies, halogens use much more energy and the manufacture and import of most mains-operated halogen light bulbs was banned in the EU on 1 September 2018.
A fluorescent light bulb or fluorescent tube is a low-discharge light with mercury that is gasified by an electric discharge. The lifespan of a standard fluorescent tube is about 20,000 hours. Fluorescent tubes can be replaced with LED tubes, the biggest advantages of which are energy efficiency and longevity.
Energy-saving light bulbs work on the same principle as fluorescent tubes, but are screw-based bulbs and often referred to as compact fluorescent lights. The disadvantages of energy-saving light bulbs are the dangerous mercury they contain, their slow ignition and the reduction in light output over time.
LED bulbs: A LED is a semiconductor component that emits light when an electric current is passed through it. Today, LED bulbs can replace almost all old light bulbs. One of the advantages of a LED bulbs is that it lights up with full power almost immediately and also withstands frequent use better than the use of a compact fluorescent bulb. LED bulbs are either dimmable or non-dimmable. Low-quality LED light bulbs produce a lot of flicker, which may even be harmful for some people. LED bulbs have a ballast inside the base and LEDs inside the bulb. The quality of the ballast affects the amount of flicker.

Recycling a luminaire is easy!
You can deliver the entire luminaire free of charge to a SER collection point. You do not have to disassemble the luminaire, the disassembly takes place at the waste disposal process. Please dispose of any detachable incandescent or halogen bulbs as regular trash.
Electrical and electronic equipment can be returned to a national network of WEEE collection points, including:
- Certain stores
You can return energy-saving light bulbs to the largest stores that sell them (home appliance stores, department stores) without the obligation to buy a new appliance.
- Sortti waste sorting stations
- Touring collection trucks
Sortti stations accept:
- lamps and string lights (excl. incandescent and halogen lamps)for example, energy-saving and fluorescent light bulbs, LED bulbs
Note! Fluorescent tubes and compact fluorescent bulbs (energy-saving light bulbs) must be sorted at a collection point for hazardous waste at Sortti stations due to the risk of breakage. They can also be recycled at hazardous waste collection points.
The operation is financed by recycling fees, which are included in the selling price of the products.

Up to 90% of the device's materials can be recycled. At the treatment plant, glass, metals and plastics are removed from electrical and electronic equipment (categorized as scrap). During pre-treatment, all harmful substances such as lead, mercury, cadmium and recyclable chromium are removed. These will be forwarded to the hazardous waste facility for processing. Packaging waste, cables, wires, circuit boards and plastic parts are also separated. The sorted materials are then crushed, mechanically separated and forwarded for reuse. Among other things, computer scrap aluminum is used for interference protection for new mobile phones. Recycled glass, on the other hand, can be used to make glass wool for thermal insulation, for example.
