Product description
Perhonen invites light and color to play, offering a gentle glow that leaves room for daydreaming. The interchangeable color elements are naturally shaped from plexiglass, which, as a translucent material, provides an imaginative color palette. Yrjö Kukkapuro’s distinctive design language is completed by the prominent role of screws, which function as visible fasteners for the components. The black, minimalist metal frame grounds the decorative lamp securely in place. Originally designed in 1968 for Kukkapuro’s experimental studio house, the lamp was born out of a genuine need when ceiling sockets were accidentally left out. It found its final commercial form during the 1980s postmodern wave, as colors and shapes surged into design. Perhonen is now in production for the first time at Innolux.
