The most common delivery time for a product purchased from the online store is approximately 2–5 business days. When the product is in our warehouse, the order is shipped on the next business day after the order date. If the delivery time is longer than normal for any reason, we aim to inform you of the new delivery time as soon as possible.

We offer free delivery for all products in our online store (Posti Home Parcel). Our deliveries are handled by Posti throughout Finland. We deliver to all EU countries.

After making purchases in the Innolux online store, you will immediately receive an order confirmation.

Next, we will notify you when your order has been picked at our warehouse. In the same email, you will receive a Posti tracking code, which allows you to follow the progress of your shipment.

Through Posti’s service, you can also set a more precise delivery time for your shipment to the address you have provided.

When you order a product from the Innolux online store, we deliver the product to the address you have provided when placing the order.

When you go shopping for lighting fixtures, it is important to pay attention to the type of space the lights are intended for and the purpose the fixture will serve.

If the goal is to evenly illuminate an entire room, it is advisable to choose a ceiling light that provides broad general lighting, such as a plafond.

For general lighting in spaces like the living room or bedroom, a pendant light is a good choice. In the living room, it is worth investing not only in good general lighting and a ceiling fixture but also in table or floor lamps, which complement the interior design and bring the whole environment to life.

In the kitchen, strong lighting is needed so that cooking tasks can be done quickly and easily, whereas in the dining room and at the dining table, general lighting does not need to be as bright as over kitchen work surfaces.

When purchasing a pendant light, it is important to consider not only the shape of the shade but also the installation height of the fixture. The installation height has a significant impact on how wide a light area the fixture provides. When placed higher, a pendant light illuminates a wider area than when installed lower, in which case the light is more focused.

Some Innolux luminaires have a dimming switch. For luminaires with an E27 socket, you can purchase a dimmable LED bulb. Compatibility with a dimmer should be confirmed with the lamp or dimmer manufacturer. LED bulbs from well-known brands are usually dimmable with standard wall dimmers (phase-cut leading-edge or trailing-edge dimmers).

If your home does not have a dimmer, contact a qualified electrician. Please note that we do not provide guidance on electrical modifications or other electrical work that consumers are not allowed to perform themselves without an electrician.

DALI stands for Digital Addressable Lighting Interface. DALI is a lighting control standard and is typically used in professional lighting, for example in offices, schools, hospitals, and other public spaces. Dimming a DALI luminaire always requires separate control wiring. In residential use, DALI is still relatively uncommon. You can identify a DALI-dimmable Innolux luminaire by the product name, which includes “DALI” at the end.

Innolux luminaires are made from different materials, but each luminaire can withstand normal handling. You can safely clean and maintain the cleanliness of the luminaires. Most exterior surfaces of Innolux luminaires tolerate damp wiping with mild detergents. In this context, mild detergents refer to products with a pH value between 6–9. When cleaning the surface of a luminaire, please ensure that you do not use abrasive cleaning agents or abrasive cloths to avoid scratching the surface.

Acrylic: On acrylic surfaces, you can use general household cleaning agents intended for domestic use that you already have at home, with a pH between 6–9. Please note that acrylic is a easily scratchable material, so choose a non-abrasive cleaning agent. The easiest way to clean an acrylic Innolux luminaire, such as the Kuplat luminaire, is with a mild dishwashing solution or even without detergent. Use a damp cleaning cloth, such as a microfiber cloth. Dust can be easily removed from the luminaire with a feather duster.

Glass: Glass luminaires are cleaned in the same way as acrylic luminaires. For cleaning glass luminaires, you can use, for example, a mild dishwashing solution. Dust can be removed most easily with a feather duster.

Genuine brass: Innolux brass luminaires are coated, so they can be cleaned with a cloth dampened in warm, mild detergent water and wrung out to be slightly damp. Avoid abrasive cleaning agents, as they can damage the surface. The luminaire should not be polished or rubbed excessively, as this will remove the coating. As a result of coating wear, the surface may darken or become discoloured.

Other metals: Metal Innolux luminaires are coated, which makes them more durable. Such luminaires can be wiped with a damp cloth soaked in a mild cleaning solution with a pH between 6–9. However, excessive polishing or scrubbing may remove the coating, causing the surface to darken or change colour. When choosing a cleaning agent, ensure it is non-abrasive and the cloth is not too rough.

Genuine leather: The genuine leather used in Innolux luminaires ages beautifully and develops a unique patina over time. The leather parts used are vegetable-tanned. Only touch the leather arm or other leather parts with clean hands. For cleaning and care, only use products specifically intended for leather care to keep the leather in good condition. Please note that leather care products may also darken the surface of the leather.

In mouth-blown glass luminaires, there are natural characteristics related to the handcrafted production process. All types of shades are blown by several glassblowers, and each of them has a slightly different technique. This means that the presence of small air bubbles in the glass, mild waviness, and variations in wall thickness are accepted characteristics of the shades. It is also worth noting that in some luminaires the colour may vary between batches, and the shade depends on the thickness of the glass and the glass material being used at the time.

In the early 2000s, incandescent bulbs were the most commonly used light bulbs. At present, the manufacture and import of halogen and incandescent bulbs is prohibited in the EU area, but shops are allowed to sell off their remaining stock. After the ban, mainly energy-efficient LED bulbs are available on the market, as halogen and energy-saving bulbs have already disappeared from most stores’ selections. LEDs have largely replaced other bulbs due to their better quality and superior technical properties, but energy-saving bulbs can still be manufactured.

In the user manual of Innolux luminaires, the recommended light source for each specific luminaire is indicated. The type label on the luminaire shows the maximum power rating, meaning the maximum wattage the luminaire can safely handle (for example, max. 35W).

LED bulbs are suitable for all our luminaires in terms of their properties. Energy-saving bulbs are also compatible with Innolux luminaires. The maximum power ratings stated for Innolux luminaires refer to LED bulb wattages. Please note that LED bulbs require lower wattage than incandescent bulbs.

Incandescent bulbs were discontinued about ten years ago. Their use is not recommended and they should not be used in Innolux luminaires.

Power, meaning wattage (W), describes the electricity consumption of a luminaire. Today, power no longer indicates the amount of light produced by a bulb, but only how much electrical energy it consumes. When replacing an older light source, it is more important to look at the luminous flux of the bulb instead of wattage. Luminous flux is measured in lumens (lm).

Luminous flux indicates how much light the light source emits in total into its surroundings. The higher the lumen value, the more light it produces. When choosing a luminaire or light source, it is therefore recommended to focus on luminous flux rather than power.

The color impression of light, also known as color temperature, is expressed in kelvins (K). The lower the Kelvin value, the more yellowish the light appears. In LED lighting, the most common light colors are 2700K (warm yellow), 3000K (warm white), 4000K (neutral white), and 5000K (cool white).

The typical lifespan of light sources varies from 1,000 hours for old incandescent bulbs to 50,000 hours for modern LEDs. For LEDs, lifespan is often expressed using the L70 value, which means that after 50,000 hours the luminaire still produces at least 70% of the luminous flux of a new one. An LED light source gradually dims toward the end of its service life.

50,000 hours = 1,000 hours per year, 50 years.

The fixed LED components in Innolux luminaires can only be replaced by a qualified electrical professional. An LED bulb with an E27 base can be replaced by the user.

Light therapy lamps are lights whose light output is at least 2,500 lux. High-quality Innolux light therapy lamps can reach an illuminance of up to 10,000 lux. A light therapy lamp mimics the brightness of sunlight, and its purpose is to increase alertness, especially during the dark season.

Light therapy provides significantly more light than standard household lighting. It is used for various wellbeing benefits. The most important benefits are the relief of seasonal affective symptoms and improving alertness and energy levels during the dark time of the year. Light therapy replaces missing daylight during winter and effectively boosts energy, especially when used in the morning.

At the same time, regular exposure to light therapy helps regulate the body’s melatonin production and natural sleep-wake cycle, which can ease sleep-related issues in the evening and at night.

Usage distances are based on numerous studies which have shown that 30 minutes of exposure to 10,000 lux illumination reduces symptoms caused by a lack of sunlight.

All Innolux light therapy lamps provide a safe 10,000 lux illumination level. The usage distance refers to the distance at which the light therapy lamp provides its intended effect. The usage distances of Innolux light therapy lamps are specified in the technical product information. These distances are approximate values.

At Innolux, the usage distance of light therapy lamps is measured with an SSL SPEKTRI 80 photometer. The measurement environment consists of the following: the usage distance is measured at a 2,500 lux level in a measurement room with a general lighting level of 600 lux, which corresponds to typical office lighting conditions.

The 10,000 lux usage distance of Innolux light therapy lamps is calculated.

Red light is one of the wavelengths of sunlight (660 nm), and near-infrared light is invisible light to the human eye (850 nm). A red light device emits red light and near-infrared light at close range and may affect even the cellular level of the body.

Red light and near-infrared therapy have been studied in thousands of research papers, and scientific literature contains numerous examples of how red light or near-infrared light may protect cellular function and enhance cellular energy metabolism.

Near-infrared devices have been studied in international research for supporting wound healing, treating baldness, acne, and skin wrinkles, as well as reducing inflammation. Studies have also shown an effect on collagen production. In sports, near-infrared and red light have been used to improve performance and recovery.

Research has also found that near-infrared light may help prevent muscle damage during physical exertion when used before performance.

The distance from Kontula metro station to the Innolux Outlet is 850 metres. The Outlet can also be reached by buses 560, 812, and 94, among others.

If you arrive by car, free parking is available in the property yard and along the street.

The Outlet’s changing selection mainly consists of luminaires that, for one reason or another, cannot be sold as flawless. Outlet products may have been used, for example, in photo shoots or at trade fairs. The products sold may contain some cosmetic defects, but they are nevertheless fully functional in terms of their performance and usability.

Recycling a luminaire is easy!

You can deliver the luminaire free of charge and in its entirety to a WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) collection point. You do not need to disassemble the luminaire, as disassembly is carried out at the waste treatment facility. Please dispose of any removable incandescent or halogen bulbs in mixed waste.

Electrical and electronic equipment can be returned to the national WEEE collection network, which includes:
