Perhonen kutsuu valon ja värin leikkiin, sen lempeässä valossa on tilaa haaveilulle. Muunneltavat värielementit leikkautuvat luontevasti pleksistä, joka läpikuultavana materiaalina tarjoaa mielikuvituksellisen väripaletin. Yrjö Kukkapuron tunnistettavan muotokielen viimeistelee komponenttien kiinnikkeinä toimivien ruuvien näkyvä rooli. Minimalistinen metallirunko ankkuroi dekoratiivisen valaisimen.
Yrjö Kukkapuron alun perin kokeelliseen studiotaloonsa 1968 suunnittelema valaisin syntyi aitoon tarpeeseen. Lopullisen kaupallisen muotonsa se sai 1980-luvun postmodernin aallon värien ja muotojen tulviessa designiin. Riippuvalaisimen täydentämä Perhonen valaisinperhe on ensi kertaa tuotannossa Innoluxilla.
